Canesten Vaginal Tablets are an antifungal treatment used for vaginal
thrush, also known as vaginal candidiasis. They contain
clotrimazole, a broad-spectrum antifungal ingredient
that helps stop the growth and spread of the fungi responsible for the
infection.
What Is Vaginal Thrush?
Vaginal thrush is a common yeast infection caused by an overgrowth of
fungi naturally present in the vagina. Common symptoms may include:

• Soreness or swelling
• Unusual vaginal discharge
• Discomfort during urination
• Discomfort during sexual intercourse

How to Use the Applicator
1. Wash and dry your hands before use.

the applicator.
4. Gently insert the applicator as deeply as is
comfortable into the vagina. This may be easier while lying on your
back with your knees bent.
5. Slowly push the plunger until it stops to release
the tablet.
6. Carefully remove the applicator.
7. Wash your hands after use.
The vaginal tablet may also be inserted without the applicator.
Treatment is generally best carried out in the evening before bedtime.

• Avoid perfumed products and deodorants around intimate areas.
• After using the toilet, wipe from front to back.
