Avalon Prila 5% Cream is a topical anesthetic containing Lidocaine/Prilocaine, used for pain relief on the skin or genital area. It is classified as a local anesthetic that helps alleviate pain during medical procedures.
Uses of Avalon Prila 5% Cream
This cream is used for skin anesthesia in situations such as:
- Needle insertion, e.g., intravenous catheters or blood sampling.
- Superficial surgical procedures.
- It can be used in adults and pediatric patients.
How to Use
Apply the cream 30-60 minutes before the procedure. For minor procedures, such as needle insertion, use 2 grams (approximately half a 5-gram tube) for 1 to 5 hours.
Warnings
Do not use the cream if you have a known allergy to its components or if there are open wounds. Consult a doctor if you have specific medical conditions such as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency or methemoglobinemia.
