Avoban Ointment: Each gram of Avoban Ointment contains 20 mg of mupirocin calcium, making it a topical antibiotic.
It is a topical antibacterial agent, effective against organisms responsible for the majority of skin infections, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogens.
Used for the treatment of all bacterial skin infections. It should be applied to the affected area up to 3 times daily, for up to 10 days.
It is important to note that this formulation of Avoban Ointment is not suitable for ophthalmic or intra-nasal use. When used on the face, care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes.
Glycol can be absorbed from open wounds and damaged skin and is excreted by the kidneys.
The ointment comes in a 30 gm package.
